Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in San Diego, Dr. Donna Bautista’s journey into the sciences began at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she earned her undergraduate degree. While at UCSD, she distinguished herself as a lab assistant in a molecular biology lab. Starting with the essential task of cleaning glassware as a young college freshman, she quickly progressed to executing intricate lab procedures for studying transcription and gene regulation, with a particular focus on fruit flies as a model organism. Notably, she was entrusted with the care of the largest fruit fly population in the area, a testament to her reliability and attention to detail. This early experience in scientific rigor and precision directly informs her approach to dentistry.

Dr. Bautista received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry. After practicing dentistry in San Francisco for nine years, she established her practice in Orange County. Over her 30 years of practicing dentistry, she has striven to provide thoughtful and compassionate care for patients. Her practice is diligently focused on thorough examinations and developing comprehensive plans for preventative and restorative treatment, always incorporating the most up-to-date and time-proven materials. Patient comfort is a paramount concern, and her attention to detail is ever-present. Ultimately, Dr. Bautista’s goal is to provide comprehensive dental care that achieves excellent functional and esthetic results in a comfortable setting.

Beyond the office, Dr. Bautista truly enjoys spending time with her husband, Gene, their son, Lucca, and their beloved dog, Dexter. She has a real appreciation for culinary experiences, always eager to explore new restaurants and experiment with new recipes in her own kitchen. She also finds great enjoyment in watching foreign and independent films and nurturing her houseplants.
